Material: Rose Silk. Edition: 1 of 10 pieces. This piece is made with 8 verified sustainability commitments. Every component — from buttons to lining to packaging — is chosen for craft, traceability, and sustainability.
Spun from reclaimed rose petals — florist and temple waste that would otherwise be discarded — through a closed-loop process that recaptures its own solvents, leaving behind a silk-soft, fully biodegradable cloth.
Rose SilkEvery workshop we work with is visited in person, paid above living wage, and never subcontracted without inspection — conditions of collaboration, not policy.
Ethical PracticesWhen a piece is ready to move on, our own Delhi studio decides its next life — repaired, upcycled, returned to fibre, or donated — so nothing we make ends as landfill by default.
Project UpcycleOur box is pressed from pre-consumer cotton offcuts, not wood pulp — cloth before it was ever cardboard, using roughly half the water a virgin-fibre box would need.
Tree-Free PackEvery colour on a House of Parvi piece, printed or dyed, comes from the same GOTS-certified ink — one certified chemistry, however the design calls for it to meet the cloth.
Sustainable DyesEvery hang tag is seed-embedded paper, printed with soy ink and tied with hemp cord — soak it, plant it, and it becomes something green instead of landfill.
Seed Paper TagThe back-neck label and side-seam washcare tag are printed on GOTS-certified organic cotton, audited annually at the vendor level — we name exactly which layer of the standard is ours to hold.
GOTS CertifiedEvery seam is cut with extra allowance built in from the first pattern, so a tailor can release it later — one quiet decision, applied to every piece we cut.
Room to GrowDescription
A burnt orange midi dress in rose petal silk, with asymmetric straps crossing at one shoulder and black piping tracing the waist and pleats. The fitted bodice opens into a full, pleated skirt that falls just below the knee.
Rose petal silk is spun from petals that would otherwise be composted, giving the fabric its slightly matte, weighted drape.
Wears well for evening, with the pleats doing most of the movement as you walk. Dry clean only. Fully biodegradable, made without plastic or animal fibre. Made as a limited edition.
Note: the word 'silk' here describes this fabric's drape and feel — it's a 100% plant-based fibre, not silk in the regulated textile sense (no silkworms involved).
Care Ritual
Dry Clean only and entrust it to a professional dry cleaner when needed.
