GOTS Labels & Washcare
Two Artefacts. Certified Truthfully.
On a House of Parvi piece, two artefacts are GOTS-certified — the label at the back-neck and the washcare tag at the side-seam. Both are printed on GOTS-certified organic cotton, produced by a specialist label-and-washcare vendor whose certification is audited annually at the vendor level. We name that scope plainly, because the standard is only worth something when it is described honestly.

One Layer of Five. We Say Which.
GOTS — the Global Organic Textile Standard — is administered by an international working group and enforced by independent auditors. It covers organic fibre cultivation, natural and low-impact dyes, printed labels and inks, working conditions across the chain, and annual third-party audit. Any brand that speaks about GOTS should be able to say which of those layers is theirs to hold. Ours is the layer covering labels, washcare tags and print inks — one of the five. The other four sit upstream, and we do not claim them.
The Label And The Washcare Tag.
Two artefacts appear on every House of Parvi piece. The label — HOUSE OF PARVI wordmark, printed on GOTS-certified organic cotton, sewn at the back-neck interior. The washcare tag — care instructions and fabric name in five languages, printed on the same GOTS-certified organic cotton, sewn at the side-seam interior. Both are produced by a specialist label-and-washcare vendor whose GOTS certification is audited annually at the vendor level. The printing and dyeing inks used on the main fabric are separately GOTS-certified via our textile vendor.
The Fabric Is Not GOTS. We Say So.
Our main fabric is lotus fibre, which sits outside the scope of GOTS certification — GOTS is written for cotton, wool and a defined set of natural fibres, and lotus is not among them. The finished garment as a whole is not GOTS-certified either, and we do not claim it is. House of Parvi as an organisation does not undergo GOTS audit. That audit sits at our vendor's premises, once a year. When we say GOTS on this page, we mean the label, the washcare tag, and the print inks — not the garment, and not the mill.
“A certification is only worth something when you say exactly what it does and does not cover.”

The tag is small. What it says is exactly what we can defend.
