Our zippers are YKK NATULON® — made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. The tape yarn begins as PET bottles, collected and remade into fibre. Something that was already here, given a new and lasting purpose.

A Bottle, Reimagined as Thread
PET is the plastic in most drinks bottles. It can be collected, cleaned, melted, and re-extruded into polyester fibre. YKK NATULON® uses 100% post-consumer recycled material — the result is identical in performance to virgin polyester, with a fraction of the energy and none of the new resource extraction.
The Most-Used Part of the Garment
A zip is opened and closed thousands of times over the life of a garment. It needs to be strong, smooth, and reliable. NATULON delivers this — without the environmental cost of creating new synthetic fibre from crude oil.
Waste Becomes Function
We use YKK NATULON® because the alternative — virgin polyester — has no justification when the recycled option performs identically. Post-consumer recycling diverts plastic that would otherwise reach landfill. Across a collection, that diversion becomes material.
