Two Holes, Not Four
Every button on a House of Parvi garment is hand-thrown from natural clay. Two holes, not four — four holes would weaken the disc; clay is more fracture-prone at multiple points of stress.
The mark of the maker is small variation between one button and the next — a diameter that isn’t perfect, a surface that isn’t uniform. Not flaws. Evidence.
No Plastic. No Microplastic.
Plastic and resin buttons are among the most durable parts of any garment. Clay isn’t. It is inert mineral — no petroleum in the making, no microplastic when the garment eventually returns to its parts.
Some of our buttons are glazed; others left unglazed. Colour is chosen per collection — hand-painted with food-grade pigment, safe against skin.
Handmade Means Replaceable, Not Disposable
Every garment ships with spare buttons. A clay button is more delicate than plastic — that is the honest tradeoff. So we send extras with every piece, and if you ever need more, WhatsApp us.
HOP is debossed into the wet clay before firing. After the kiln fixes the shape and the mark, the buttons are hand-painted with food-grade colour — colour chosen per collection, so the button matches the piece.
